cheap Chinese EVs are not going to 'save the planet' – short-term, an incredible deal – but look closer. The parts are low-end, the factories are sweat-shops – powered by fossil-fuel generated power, the batteries are NOT 'UL' tested (ever had a lithium battery fire?)…Xi Jinping has an intention plan to 'make stuff as cheaply as possible and damn the environment' – Just last week, USA and Canada announced that they are NOT going to allow a flood or cut-rate Chinese EVs into their countries…You have to look LONG TERM.
Putin will soon ink a deal with BYD…now that he can't get western 'chips' and parts – hey, why not? Nothing is fair.
I lived in Beijing and I was blown away by the electric car prices. By the time it get delivered out of china its almost 10x more expensive
