My old art teacher said that Gouache was watered down acrylic. I don't think he's used Gouache too much..
I love acrylics personally. But hey I played with mud all the time as a kid 😂
have you ever tied oil paints? i am geuinely curious and i think that it would be like watercolors but not as clear

I love acrylics because you can look at a painting and feel it's odd texture. . . whilst watercolor and the others are more smooth. I just like how physical acrylics make paintings look. And, it's still possible to paint smooth paintings with acrylics anyways.
B-But…i love painting with mud!
You keep saying how gauche is easier to work with than acrylics… As someone who’s done acrylics my entire life, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use gauche. I just can’t. For me, it’s super hard. So I think the difficulty of a specific paint just comes down to what you’re comfortable with, and what you like more, and especially what fits your style. I use the shiny waterproof nature of acrylics to create texture and volume without changing colors, and it just doesn’t work for gauche.
Can you do a video (in more detail) comparing acrylic gouache vs. watercolour gouache? Gouache seems to be having a moment.
